SAFETY POLICIES :
All athletes MUST:
1. Wear an Approved PFD (as per Transport Canada) equipped with a Whistle or Attach a PFD with whistle to the board.
2. Wear a Leash. Required for the Kalamalka Crossing and Eagle Run SUP Challenge. (No refunds will be provided to any participants who refuse to wear a leash)
– We will have boat support with communication to event site and staff
Additional Restrictions
– Due to safety concerns, animals or children are not allowed on the board with any person. This places unnecessary strain on our safety crew.
– Minimum Age for the Kalamalka Crossing is 13 years. All paddlers under the age of 16 must have a capable parent paddling with them across the lake. * We reserve the right to refuse registrations and the final decision will be made by the Race Director.
– Boat support is not allowed for individual paddlers during any event. They can interfere with other participants. ________________________________________________________
Saturday Events: All events are staged on the West side of Kalamalka Beach
Parking – Saturday At the Kalamalka Lake Beach Parking Lot (no parking at The Rail Trail Cafe or Kalavida parking lot)
Sunday – Parking in Oyama
We are not permitted to park in the main lot for the Oyama General Store. Please arrive early and use parking area on Pelmewash Parkway (across from Gatzke’s Orchard)
Extra Washrooms:
We will have Porto-Potties in Oyama located right next to the Oyama Store.
